| Ari regards himself as a photographer and graphic artist, although his work has encompassed several more media. His work in photography uses an innovative combination of 35 mm film and digital painting to capture the beauty of the natural (and sometimes man-made) world. He constantly holds as his highest ideal the goal of creating an image of such beauty that it manages to mirror the beauty of the thing itself. After examining the differences between the way in which a 35 mm negative and the human eye resolve a particular image, he elaborates on the image presented by the negative in such a way as to evoke the most essential emotional components of the original scene. |
